As the largest county in the western region for sericulture industry, Shiquan has a stable mulberry garden area of 5,067 hectares, with 73,000 silkworms bred annually and a total output value of 2 billion yuan ($0.28 billion). It has built a complete industrial chain for sericulture, silk reeling, silk weaving and the integration of multiple industries.
