Domestic sericulture experts, tourism experts, cultural scholars and practitioners in the cultural and tourism industry of Shiquan county participated in the event, exchanging ideas and sharing insights into the development of Shiquan’s cultural sector.

China was the birthplace of sericulture culture. As early as the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC to AD 24), Shiquan was already a well-known hometown of sericulture in China.

In 1984, a gilded copper silkworm made during the Western Han Dynasty was unearthed in Chihe town, Shiquan county, Ankang, Shaanxi province, which immediately attracted attention from archaeologists and sericulture experts at home and abroad. In 1985, the copper silkworm became part of the collection of the Shaanxi History Museum as a national first-class cultural relic.
