On Sept 7, the Yangtze River Delta's first couplets culture creation and practice center was inaugurated at the under-construction Chinese Bonsai Museum in Taizhou.

Integrating poetry and calligraphy, couplets provide a unique way to blend natural landscapes with cultural and historical elements, serving as a key artistic highlight for scenic spots in China.

During the event, couplets organizations from Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, and Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote the development of couplets culture. Experts and scholars also shared insights on further advancing the cultural significance of couplets.

Taizhou began construction of the Chinese Bonsai Museum earlier this year. A 300-meter-long corridor within the museum is designed to showcase bonsai's history and culture through calligraphy, murals, and couplets. In August, the city launched a campaign to collect couplets and plaques from the public, receiving over 6,000 submissions from more than 450 authors by Sept 6.
