Yantai's Mid-Autumn Festival holiday glows with diverse activitieslots to do

Yantai in East China's Shandong province rolled out activities during the recent Mid-Autumn Festival so that guests from all over could get a glimpse of culture while having fun.

Nanshan Mountain Scenic Area treated visitors to traditional Chinese dances and ancient guqin performances, while Wuyue Square hosted "lantern riddle" contests and moon-celebration ceremonies. These events allowed guests to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn traditions.

During this time of family reunion, many families ventured out into the night to look up at the full moon. Some witnessed the moonrise from Penglai Pavilion, others cruised Changchun Lake under the moonlight, and some enjoyed music while moon-viewing at Chaoyang Street's fountain square.

The rich and colorful intangible heritage activities took the spotlight across Yantai's major scenic spots. At Mu's Manor, visitors experienced immersive traditional wedding ceremonies, while Yantai Botanical Garden showcased left visitors mesmerized with a molten iron fireworks show.

Throughout the three-day holiday, Yantai diligently crafted a tourism environment that ensured visitors felt at home, fostering a prosperous and well-organized market operation.
