Alian Brice, a 14-year-old Cameroonian boy, and his two younger brothers speak Mandarin fluently and have mastered the writing of beautiful Chinese characters.

Since their early days, they have shared an unexplainable bond with Nantong. Growing up, studying, and living in this city, they have seamlessly blended into local culture, thanks to their parents' work in Nantong over the past decade.

Under his father's influence, Alian developed a passion for soccer at a young age. Describing Alian as a "soccer enthusiast" would be an understatement. Besides academics and playing soccer, his favorite pastime involves watching various matches and scouring the internet for training videos of his favorite players.

"I know every detail about their matches, victories, injuries, and recoveries," Alian shared, emphasizing how one's passion can be the best teacher.

Fueled by his unwavering soccer enthusiasm and exceptional talent, Alian fulfilled his dream last April by joining the "Nantong Zhiyun Football Youth Training Team". He received professional and structured training, rapidly honing his soccer skills.

"My dad took me to watch Nantong Zhiyun's home game in Rugao. It was an incredible experience!" Alian shared. His soccer idols include Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, and other renowned players, and his ultimate aspiration is to become a professional soccer athlete.

Alan's mother serves as an English teacher at a Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area kindergarten. Fluent in English, French, and Chinese, she relocated to Nantong with her husband in 2010 and later welcomed three adorable boys into their lives.

"After 14 years in Nantong, our family has truly embraced this city," she remarked. During holidays, they often hike Langshan Mountain, explore the Haohe River, and indulge in delectable Nantong cuisine, cherishing these simple yet blissful moments as their greatest source of joy.
