The Economy & Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting Between Xi'an and Countries Involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) took place in Xi'an on Sept 5.
Over 150 guests participated in the meeting, including 65 representatives from government agencies and business associations and representatives from 14 BRI countries: Pakistan, Tajikistan, Portugal, Barbados, Peru, Afghanistan, Laos, Nepal, South Africa, Mexico, Guyana, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina.
The meeting aimed to facilitate trade opportunities, boost investment, drive the economic development of Belt and Road countries, and deepen cooperation through enhanced exchanges.
During the meeting, the Xi'an Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed friendly cooperation memorandums with seven overseas trade and investment promotion agencies and business associations. This will help foster practical and mutually beneficial relationships and elevate cooperation in broader fields.
Promotional sessions featured industry presentations by eight enterprises, including CRRC Yongji Electric Co and Xi'an Baiyue Dairy Group.
Following the promotional presentations, productive exchanges were made between Xi'an business representatives and foreign delegates.
Many participating enterprises acknowledged the practical and targeted nature of the meeting, citing it as instrumental in facilitating bilateral trade and exploring opportunities for market expansion in Belt and Road countries.
