The Xi'an-Liege international cargo flight, carrying over 50 metric tons of e-commerce goods, took off from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport on Sept 5, bound for Liege Airport in Belgium.

Operated by Georgian GH Airlines using a Boeing B767-300F aircraft, this route plans 104 flights annually with two round trips per week. It primarily exports e-commerce goods, clothing, electronics, and general trade items while importing European pharmaceuticals, precision instruments, food, and international express shipments.

It is estimated to provide 6,300 tons of air cargo between China and Europe annually.

This route will boost the development of the Airport New City's designated pharmaceutical port, bonded functions, and airside economy, promoting the construction of the Air Silk Road and the province's opening-up.

It will also offer more abundant and stable transportation support for Shaanxi province's foreign trade enterprises, playing a crucial role in promoting economic and trade exchanges between Northwest China and European countries.

The Xi'an-Budapest international cargo air route completed its maiden flight on Sept 7. It also plans 104 flights annually with two round trips per week, bringing approximately 6,000 tons of international cargo to Xi'an each year.
