With Shanxi's ancient architecture gaining renewed attention following the release of Black Myth: Wukong last week, discover how a young illustrator from Taiyuan, Shanxi in China, has been ahead of the curve, dedicating himself to bringing these historical treasures to life.

Qin Zhizhen, a passionate Gen Z artist, has spent the last two years traveling across Shanxi, lovingly re-creating over 80 ancient architectural sites in ink and watercolor. His unique style and dedication has inspired many young people to explore and appreciate Shanxi's rich cultural legacy. From creating cultural products to sharing his art on social media, Qin's work has resonated with many, turning online admiration into real-world exploration.

Join Qin as he sets out on an ambitious journey to illustrate all of Shanxi's nationally significant heritage sites. His mission? To ensure that when people think of Shanxi, they remember more than just coal mines, vinegar, and noodles. They'll remember the ancient buildings that have stood the test of time, and the stories they still have to tell.
