The 8th Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East & West China will be held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Sept 20-24. The theme of this year's expo is Deepening Connectivity, Expanding Economic and Trade Cooperation.
The expo will host eight economic and trade exchange activities, including the opening ceremony, activities with guest countries and provinces, contract signing ceremonies, and outcome releases.
Utilizing a hybrid format of online and offline exhibitions, the expo will consist of five exhibition areas covering 72,000 square meters. These will focus on international cooperation, inter-provincial cooperation, transportation and logistics, advanced manufacturing, and modern energy.
The international cooperation exhibition will showcase resources, industries, and trade collaborations with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, Central Asian nations, and international sister cities. The inter-provincial cooperation exhibition will highlight regional exchanges, while the transportation and logistics exhibition will highlight Shaanxi's connectivity via the China-Europe freight train. The advanced manufacturing Exhibition will feature key industries like new energy vehicles and solar energy, displaying innovative products and applications. The modern energy exhibition will present major projects and technological advancements in the energy sector.
The online platform will enhance functionality for news, policy updates, trade facilitation, cultural exchanges, exhibition information, market trends, and industry promotions.
The expo is actively soliciting projects for promotion and signing. Over 1,048 key projects have been identified in modern energy, advanced manufacturing, cultural tourism, emerging industries, agriculture, infrastructure, commerce, energy efficiency, and environmental protection.
