As the South China Sea's seasonal fishing ban comes to an end, Sanya's Yazhou Central Fishing Port is bustling. Fishermen are busy checking their boats and loading fishing gear in preparation for their first catch.

A fisherman surnamed Wang, eagerly preparing his 200--metric-ton vessel, expects a bountiful catch, with hopes of reeling in thousands of pounds in a single day.

Meanwhile, fellow fishermen like Lin meticulously prepare their boats, ensuring they are stocked with ice, water, and fuel. There is a strong belief that the revitalized marine resources over the past three months will lead to a productive catch.

Alongside the fishermen, local agricultural and maritime authorities conduct safety checks and training sessions to ensure a secure fishing season. The Yazhou Central Fishing Port's staff is also on high alert, inspecting boats for safety hazards and ensuring all equipment is in top condition.

The Yazhou Central Fishing Port is poised to host the Sanya Fishing Festival on Aug 16, featuring vibrant events such as a fishing art exhibition, citizen fishing contests, a seafood market, and traditional cultural activities, celebrating the rich maritime heritage and local charm.
