The sci-tech backyard is an innovative platform deeply rooted in rural areas, dedicated to solving production challenges, promoting new technologies and varieties, and serving as a practical base for the commercialization of agricultural scientific achievements.

During the training session, Lyu Ersuo, an associate researcher at the Institute of Crop Science of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Sciences, gave a detailed explanation of precautions necessary in barley planting.

Yang Xueru, director of the Comprehensive Section at the Bayannuur Institute of Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Sciences, brought 6,000 asparagus seedlings and taught local farmers about planting methods, yields, and sales channels.

After the training session, experts visited the oat fields at the sci-tech backyard to check on the growth of oats. "By introducing new varieties of oats, the backyard has selected drought-resistant and high-yield oat varieties suitable for demonstration and promotion in Guyang county, providing a basis for large-scale promotion."

"That's great! Next year, we will rotate our crops from astragalus to oats and plant this new variety," said Zhang Sanhu, a farmer from Guyang, who has contracted 120 mu (8 hectares) of land.
