The skill competition for the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) was launched at the Xi'an Guogang Railway Station on July 30.
Until November, over 900 technical workers from 24 related units of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an), including Xi'an Customs and China Railway Xi'an Group Co, will compete on the same stage.
The competition provides a crucial platform for the vast number of employees from various units of the China-Europe freight train to showcase their skills and will raise the quality of the freight's operation to be safer and more efficient.
The competition consists of three tracks – railway, customs, and platform companies, with 19 different occupations. It will be conducted through both theoretical exams (closed-book) and practical assessments.
Outstanding participants will be honored with three Shaanxi Province May 1 Labor Medals, seven Shaanxi Province Labor Competition Outstanding Individuals, and six Locomotive Head Medals.
Since its first run in November 2013, the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) has operated over 22,000 trips, leading the country in key indicators such as operation volume, freight volume, and container utilization rate.
