The inaugural "Ice City Cup" SCO Member States Youth Football Elite Tournament commenced in Harbin, the capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on July 30, featuring over 150 young players from 12 clubs across China and Russia.

The three-day event will see six teams from each country competing, with four Chinese teams hailing from Harbin and two from Dalian. The young athletes, aged 10 to 11, are set to showcase their skills and passion for the sport.

Organizers of the tournament emphasized that the event aims to foster cultural and sports exchanges between Chinese and Russian cities.

Through the tournament, they hope to create a platform for football enthusiasts to interact and hone their skills.

Additionally, the event seeks to leverage Harbin's strengths in the sports, tourism, and cultural industries, promoting the high-quality development of the city's cultural and tourism sectors.
