Shanghai Hongqiao Intl CBD launches North Loop line

Starting July 29, the Minhang Area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District will begin trial operations of its first reservation-based bus route, the North Loop line.

This new service, operating during weekday rush hours, connects the Hongqiao West Transportation Center to Boheng Road and North Shenchang Road, with stops at key commercial hubs and an estimated travel time of 20 minutes.

The North Loop will run during morning (7:30-8:45) and evening (17:00-18:15) rush hours, with buses every 15 minutes. Passengers can make reservations via the Suishenxing app or mini-program and pay using public transportation methods. During the trial, unreserved passengers can also ride.

This initiative aims to improve the commuting experience for business district employees and address the transportation gap in the northern part of the business district.
