Datong Talent Week kicks off with grand opening

Datong Talent Week began on July 22, welcoming a raft of doctoral students and graduates from top universities nationwide.

The event aims to foster development in Datong city – located in North China's Shanxi province – through talent exchanges and collaboration.

Well-planned reception arrangements ensured a smooth arrival for the aspiring graduates. Volunteers greeted attendees at Yungang International Airport, Datong South Station and Datong Station – making them feel right at home.

Datong Talent Week has drawn students from all over the Chinese mainland – as well as from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan – all eager to explore Chinese culture and future prospects in Datong.

Under the theme "Attracting Talent, Gathering Wisdom in Datong," the week features various activities, including the opening ceremony at the Datong Grand Theater on July 23.

Around 500 doctoral students and graduates from prestigious universities are participating. The event showcases Datong's innovative resources and industrial potential through tours of key industries and institutions.

Experts from education, healthcare, agriculture, technology and the justice sectors will engage in grassroots activities to solve local issues.

Additionally, there will be discussions and exchanges to promote the integration of innovation, industry, finance and talent.

The comprehensive event aims to enhance cooperation, foster innovative ideas and contribute to Datong's overall growth and development.
