On July 21, 27 innovation alliances were launched at the Entrepreneur Innovation and Development Conference in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.

Led by industry-leading enterprises, these innovation alliances will act as a hub that integrates research institutions, universities, and upstream and downstream enterprises to address key technological challenges and effectively channel technological innovations into applications.

A total of 235 innovation alliances have been established in the city so far, involving over 1,000 leading domestic and foreign enterprises, along with more than 200 research institutions and over 300 universities, which are expected to drive over 10 billion yuan ($1.37 billion) in research and development investment, address over 1,000 technological challenges, and generate over 10,000 patents.

In Suzhou, innovation alliances now cover all sectors and industries, especially new-generation information technology, high-end equipment, and new materials, totaling 49, 47, and 37, respectively.
