During this year's summer peak travel season from July 1 to Aug 31, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is expecting a total of 60,000 flight takeoffs and landings, transporting approximately 8.49 million passengers.
With a significant influx of passengers during the season, primarily consisting of students and family groups, the airport is actively optimizing its services to ensure a smooth and problem-free experience for all passengers.
Throughout the period, the daily average number of flights and passenger throughput at the airport are projected to be 970 and 137,000, respectively, with peak numbers potentially reaching 1,020 and 150,000.
In order to meet the travel demands of a wide range of passengers for both domestic and international flights, the airport has introduced or resumed 30 international passenger routes to places such as Budapest, Osaka, Ho Chi Minh City, London, Sydney, Moscow, and Dubai.
Additionally, the airport offers 22 business express routes with over 10 daily flights to places like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, serving as a worthy air bridge for international and domestic travelers engaging in tourism, business activities, and cultural exchanges.
The airport has also focused on providing special services for first-time travelers, elderly passengers, and other passengers with potential special needs, optimizing services for transfer passengers, and ensuring comprehensive services at the Overseas Guest Payment Service Center.
