Xi'an, fertile ground for conference, exhibition industry

Xi'an, in its phase of accelerated high-quality development, has emerged as a fertile ground for the conference and exhibition industry.

The Euro-Asia Economic Forum, held biennially since 2005, has evolved into a crucial platform for carrying out the Belt and Road Initiative after 10 successful editions. Leveraging the forum, Xi'an is intensifying preparations for major exhibitions to expand the forum's influence and actively integrate into new development patterns.

The Xi'an Exhibition Affairs Center (Secretariat of the Euro-Asia Economic Forum) has actively engaged with relevant national ministries and international organizations in the first half of this year to enhance cooperation and accelerate preparations for significant events like Xi'an Design Week, the entrepreneur symposium, and the think tank conference.

Xi'an Design Week, scheduled for November, aims to help Xi'an develop into the "World Design Capital" by focusing on internationalization, specialization, and high-quality designs oriented towards the future.

The entrepreneur symposium, to be held in Russia, Kazakhstan, and China, aims to better understand the economic needs of the Central Asian region in preparation for the 2025 Euro-Asia Economic Forum.

In collaboration with local departments, the Xi'an Exhibition Affairs Center will organize three consumer promotion events between July and November this year to boost urban consumption and promote industrial investment.

Looking ahead, during the 2024 China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, Xi'an will host a promotional conference on the Euro-Asia Economic Forum and its exhibition environment to deepen the integration of exhibitions and industries, enhance the forum's practical development outcomes, and promote domestic and international development cycles.

Xi'an's future in the conference and exhibition industry holds vast opportunities, attracting global attention and demonstrating impressive growth prospects.
