The Invest in Shanghai · Global Series (London Station) was recently held in London, the United Kingdom, to celebrate the new partnership that was formed between Changning district and European businesses.

At the event, the London Branch of the Bank of China, Informa, and Arcadis were named "International Business Partners" of the "Grand Hongqiao - China-Europe Enterprise Cross-border Exchange and Cooperation Platform". This platform serves as a facilitator for deepened collaboration between Changning and European enterprises. These partners are set to promote and participate in economic and trade exchanges with Chinese enterprises.

Wu Lin, executive director of the London Branch of the Bank of China and secretary-general of the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK), emphasized the council's 23-year dedication to promoting Sino-British economic cooperation. With over 300 member companies, the council will help Changning in promoting itself and attracting UK investors.

Wu said that several Changning-based enterprises have engaged in deep cooperation across various sectors in the UK, yielding significant results. In recent years, Changning has actively positioned itself in new sectors such as industrial internet and digital healthcare, aligning with the UK's development strategies, presenting vast opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.

Andrew Galloway, director of the Europe and America Division of Informa Group, noted that Informa's business in Shanghai is growing rapidly. The company plans to leverage its international exhibition industry strengths to bring more global suppliers to Shanghai.

Informa Group's China regional headquarters has been rooted in Changning since 2009. As one of the main organizers of commercial exhibitions in China, it serves various industries, including baby products, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, IT, and logistics.

During the event, Changning showcased its strategic location, opportunities, premium resources, business environment, and development plans. With 6,500 foreign-funded enterprises, Changning serves as a bridge between the Yangtze River Delta region and global markets. It nurtures leading Chinese internet companies and offers ample resources for growth.

Partnerships with organizations like the CCCUK enhance Sino-European cooperation in Changning. The district supports overseas talents and foreign-funded enterprises through its service centers, such as the Shanghai Hongqiao Overseas Talent One-Stop Service Center.
