The Malaysia & Northwest China Business Forum opened in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on July 3, attracting over 300 representatives from relevant government departments and trade and investment promotion agencies and entrepreneurs from China and Malaysia.
The event is an important part of the series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China. It aims to further deepen friendly cooperation between Malaysia and China and promote bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and infrastructure.
The forum highlighted the Malaysia-China Food Industrial Park, which is located in Xixian New Area, providing detailed information on its transportation, facilities and business environment and inviting company representatives to come inspect it for themselves.
Business representatives and experts from both countries focused on discussions regarding cross-industry investment opportunities, prospects for green development and sustainable investment, enhancing agricultural and food trade, promoting bilateral trade, and expanding cooperation in various fields.
Malaysia and Shaanxi have long maintained close economic and trade relations. Products from Shaanxi such as integrated circuits, monocrystalline silicon wafers, and solar panels are popular in Malaysia, while Malaysia's natural latex raw materials, palm oil, timber, and wood products are in high demand in Shaanxi.
