Guiyang city and Gui'an New Area are focused on improving the sense of gain, happiness and security of their residents by addressing public service gaps and upgrading the quality of urban living.

In a process begun in recent years, they've transformed common livelihood concerns into specific projects, advancing a so-called 15-minute living circle – where amenities and community facilities are within a quarter-hour walk – to make life more convenient and enjoyable.

At the Tiejian International City Medical and Elderly Care Center in Nanming district, seniors engage in rehabilitation training, watch TV and play games under the care of medical staff members.

The center, part of the Taiciqiao Living Circle, combines medical and elderly care services with 56 beds and maintains a 95-percent occupancy rate.

Partnering with top hospitals, the center offers diagnoses, health guidance and remote medical services. Its specialized facilities and smart beds ensure the comfort and safety of older folks.

Similarly, the Wandoujia Children's Home in Yuhong Community, established in 2022, provides after-school care, reading and recreational activities for over 600 families.

It supports working parents by offering affordable, professional childcare services and regularly organizes cultural activities – all of which have earned the widespread approval of residents.
