Floral spectacle unveiled in Beilun

A mesmerizing sight has unfolded in Beilun district, Ningbo, as almost 700 varieties of lotus flowers have burst forth at a local seedling base.

Located in Daqi sub-district, this base is usually closed to the public. It houses a diverse assortment of top-quality lotus flowers sourced from around the world. The seedlings cultivated here are distributed nationwide, underscoring its pivotal role in Ningbo's thriving floral industry.

With its extensive array of varieties, the base has been recognized as a municipal-level lotus germplasm repository in Ningbo.
