Thirty-seven international friends from nine countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand, recently visited Jinxiang Glass Studio in Zibo's Boshan to experience pottery and glass art.
"Boshan glass has a long history and can be made into a variety of beautifully-shaped decorations that are of excellent quality. This glass exhibition was truly an unbelievable and unforgettable experience," said Andre from Afghanistan.
"The colorful glass is not only beautiful to look at but also a way to connect with our ancestors. It also bridges the gap between local and foreign cultures," said Yuan Shixiang, the person in charge of Jinxiang Glass Studio.
"This is the first time I have seen such exquisite Boshan glass up close. The history of glass art is long, and its development to the present day has resulted in beautiful and colorful designs. This visit will be a wonderful and unforgettable memory," said Boris from Iran.
At the studio, the foreign friends got to see artworks such as the precious pigments chicken-fat yellow and interior painted glass, experiencing a blend of history and modernity through ceramic glass calligraphy and painting works.
