Hongqiao Intl CBD opens applications for 2024 trade headquarters recognition

The Administrative Committee of Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD) has announced the start of the application process for recognizing trade headquarters within the CBD in 2024.

This initiative aims to accelerate the development of the Hongqiao International Open Hub by creating a new platform for international trade centers, attracting high-level trade enterprise headquarters, and supporting leading companies in the trade sector to expand and strengthen their operations. The goal is to enhance the Hongqiao International CBD's status as a vibrant hub for both domestic and international trade and commerce.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify, trade headquarters must be registered within the Hongqiao International CBD and meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. Domestic Wholesale and Retail: Last year's revenue from this sector should exceed 6 billion yuan ($826.89 million) and account for over 50 percent of the enterprise's total revenue.

2. International Goods Trade: Last year's revenue from this sector should exceed 2 billion yuan and account for over 50 percent of the enterprise's total revenue.

3. Service Trade: Last year's revenue from this sector should exceed 1 billion yuan and account for over 50 percent of the enterprise's total revenue.

4. Platform Transactions: Consumer-facing platforms should have an annual transaction volume exceeding 3 billion yuan, while business-to-business platforms should have a transaction volume exceeding 10 billion yuan.

Application requirements may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis for significant contributors to the CBD's development.
