Top unicorn enterprises convene in Chongqing

On June 16, the 2024 China (Chongqing) Unicorn Enterprise Conference was held in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.

The conference was jointly organized by the Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission, the administrative committee of Liangjiang New Area, and Greatwall Strategy Consultants, bringing together representatives from over 100 unicorn enterprises as well as more than 700 renowned experts, scholars, and investors.

The event featured keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, special releases, enterprise roadshows, matchmaking talks, and networking dinners.

The 2024 China Unicorn Enterprise Research Report, released during the conference, indicated that in 2023, China had a total of 375 unicorn enterprises, with 72 new unicorns and 12 super unicorns.

The 2024 Chongqing Unicorn and Gazelle Enterprise List showed that over the past four years, the compound growth rate of unicorn and potential unicorn enterprises in the municipality has surged 60 percent.

Notably, Chongqing has 17 potential unicorn enterprises engaged in the fields of intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, semiconductors and integrated circuits, new energy storage, and satellite internet.

Li Jie, deputy director of the administrative committee of Liangjiang New Area, introduced Chongqing's "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system and the investment promotion situation in the new area.

The Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission, Liangjiang New Area, Fuling, Jiangbei and Banan districts signed cooperation framework agreements with 10 unicorn enterprises.

Han Bicheng, founder of BrainCo, delivered a speech titled "Brain-Computer Interfaces Unlock More Possibilities for Life", while Tang Zhimin, founder of Xiangdixian Computing Technology (Chongqing) Co, gave a speech titled "Intelligent Computing Cloud Empowers Industries".
