Wuxi Symphony Orchestra debuts anthem

In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to China, the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Macao Cultural Promotion Association, has unveiled a special project featuring the debut of a Chinese anthem titled Shengshi Bailian (Flourishing White Lotus).

Crafted by composer Li Shaosheng, the esteemed music director of the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra, the stirring melody is brought to life by vocalists Liu Naiqi and Liu Tong, accompanied by the harmonious orchestration of the China National Symphony Orchestra and the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra.

The white lotus, symbolizing purity and grace, holds a significant cultural importance as the emblematic flower of the Macao Special Administrative Region, further enhancing the emotional depth and resonance of this musical tribute to Macao's historical milestone.
