The Visun Royal Yacht Club, located in Sanya Bay, hosted a prominent yacht tourism event on May 25, drawing more than 4,000 tourists from across the nation who sought to partake in Sanya's unique sailing experiences.

During this year's five-day May Day holiday, Sanya yachts recorded 3,500 port entries and departures, serving over 20,000 passengers. Sanya has consistently held the position as the top city for yacht development and tourism, with its popularity in yacht tourism leading the nation.

"The Meeting Incentives Convention Event (MICE) industry in Sanya has injected fresh vitality into the city's business tourism, making it a key player in both domestic and international travel. This growth holds significant importance for Sanya's tourism sector and global engagement," said an official of the Sanya commerce bureau.

High-quality wharves and operators play a crucial role in the yacht industry. The Visun Royal Yacht Club, a leading enterprise with the largest professional yacht wharf in Hainan, boasts 450 berths accommodating about 420 yachts year-round and attracting over 1.3 million tourists. Equipped with top-ranking international standard facilities and premium services, the club offers full experience to shipowners.

Liu Kaiqiang, the executive president of the Sanya Federation of Tourism Associations, said that the recent successful MICE highlights Visun Royal Yacht Club's exceptional expertise in high-end tourism services. It also showcases Sanya's distinctive yacht culture and innovative tourism capabilities, paving the way for comprehensive development in multiple dimensions. The goal is to revitalize Sanya as a premier international MICE destination.
