Delve into the cultural essence of the Grand Canal of China from an archaeological perspective at an ongoing exhibition held by the China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Over 240 newly unearthed artifacts spanning from the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) are on display. They are a stunning array of ceramics, bronze ware, gold and silver items and jade and stone ware that vividly illustrate the lives of ancient Chinese people along the canal.
