The 2024 China Arts and Crafts Expo opened in Fuzhou, Fujian province on May 9. Among the highlights were exquisite crafts from Yangzhou, Jiangsu province showcasing the city's rich heritage in traditional crafts.

The exhibition area for Yangzhou spanned nearly 300 square meters and featured a wide range of unique and traditional art pieces, including lacquerware, jade, embroidery, guqin (a traditional Chinese musical instrument), velvet flowers, and lantern crafts.

A standout piece was a sachet created by Liu Yuechuan. Originally made from two pieces of Hetian jade weighing almost 400 grams, the sachet was meticulously carved and polished down to just 16 grams, featuring nearly 3,000 intricate holes on both sides.
