AstraZeneca's 7th China Ecosystem Conference advances global collaboration in healthcare

The 7th AstraZeneca China Ecosystem Conference, a pivotal part of the 2024 Taihu Bay Future Healthcare Conference and Expo, convened on May 10 in Wuxi, Jiangsu.

This year's conference featured a main summit and 10 forums, focusing on important topics such as policy trends, international collaboration, digital chronic disease management, rare disease diagnostics and treatment, and precision oncology diagnostics.

Representatives from government, industry, academia, and investment sectors convened at the conference to further link domestic and international resources and forge partnerships. For example, AstraZeneca, in partnership with five local innovative companies from Wuxi, including Genetron and Teddylab, jointly announced an initiative which aims to enable Chinese pharmaceutical innovations to expand into international markets.

The event also featured a launch ceremony for the China-Saudi Biotechnology Partnership, where AstraZeneca pledged to collaborate with the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center in the medical and healthcare fields.

The AstraZeneca China Ecosystem Conference, now in its seventh consecutive year, has become a crucial platform for Chinese and international healthcare-related parties seeking cooperation and access to global innovation resources.
