Wuxi New District opened its innovation center in Hong Kong on April 24, marking a significant step forward in fostering high-tech collaboration between Hong Kong and Wuxi.

The new center aims to promote a unique business model where research and development is conducted in Hong Kong and production implemented in Wuxi. This model is designed to accelerate the integration of WND with Hong Kong's cutting-edge innovation ecosystem and facilitate cross-regional flow of projects, talent, and capital.

The WND Innovation Center (Hong Kong) will serve as a showcase for WND enterprises, helping them to promote their products in international markets. It also seeks to capitalize on Hong Kong's strong connections with overseas technology hubs, enabling local businesses to access the latest advanced industrial technology. The center will focus on key industries, including the internet of things, integrated circuits, biopharmaceuticals, and artificial intelligence.

Through partnerships with academic institutions, joint training programs, and regular networking events, the center seeks to address talent shortages in both Hong Kong and WND. By creating platforms for information exchange, the center will foster a stronger understanding of WND's economic and technological landscape among Hong Kong's key enterprises, universities, business associations, and industry groups.
