New park along Haitang River opens

The first phase of Sanya Haitang River Ecological Park opened to the public on April 28, providing another excellent destination for residents and tourists.

Located in the core area of Haitang district, the Sanya Haitang River Ecological Park is built along the Haitang River, stretching from Longhai Road in the north to Jianglin Road in the south, with a total length of approximately 13.16 kilometers and a scenic area of about 2.4 million square meters.

The park is developed in two phases. The currently open section is the first phase, with a length of about 4.43 km and a scenic area of approximately 1.2 million sq m. The remaining 8.73 km and an additional scenic area of about 1.2 million sq m constitute the second phase.

The Sanya Haitang River Ecological Park is a unique blend of waterfront, wetlands, and forests designed to preserve native species and create landscape art. It boasts several standout areas, including a paddy field research base, a camping site, a minority cultural park, and a riverside rainforest, all of which add to its charm and appeal.

The Sanya Haitang River Ecological Park plays a crucial role in supporting the Haitang district's efforts to create a high-quality coastal resort tourism route. It serves as a new urban landmark for Sanya, enhancing the area's tourism consumption by upgrading the quality of its landscapes.
