The second Renfengli Intangible Cultural Heritage Market kicked off in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province with a lively opening ceremony on April 27.

At the market, 30 master craftsmen and creators from the ancient city showcased a diverse array of cultural and creative products.

Visitors were treated to traditional local art performances such as Kunqu opera. They also had the opportunity to engage in interactive experiences with various intangible cultural heritage crafts including Huaiyang cuisine, Yangzhou-style bonsai, and paper cutting.

Renfengli Street was designed around cultural and tourism consumption during the holiday season. Through nighttime lighting and landscape design, elements such as residential buildings, old streets, and street layouts were integrated, revitalizing the historical culture and allowing visitors to experience the rich atmosphere of the ancient city even at night.

Officials from Wenhe subdistrict expressed their hopes that the event, which covers the entire May Day holiday period, will attract more young people to explore the ancient streets with Renfengli's rich folk customs and colorful intangible cultural heritage interactions.
