The Global Innovation Index 2023 report released by the World Intellectual Property Organization ranked Xi'an 19th globally and 7th among China's listed clusters.

Throughout the year, Xi'an promoted the IP application and transformation, hosting the Xi'an High-Value Patent Cultivation Competition and organizing over 20 patent transfer and transformation matchmaking activities.

Also, relevant departments in the city have strengthened protection efforts, facilitating the rapid resolution of IP disputes. The city's IP business environment index ranked first in the province in 2023.
