Suzhou hosts 2024 Global Investment Promotion Conference

Suzhou in Jiangsu province held the 2024 Global Investment Promotion Conference from April 25 to 27.

The event attracted 429 Fortune Global 500 companies to Suzhou, where 367 projects were signed, totaling an impressive investment of 371.95 billion yuan ($51.47 billion).

These projects, focusing on sectors like new energy, high-end equipment, next-generation information technology, advanced materials, biomedicine, and healthcare, underscore Suzhou's commitment to nurturing innovative, quality-driven industries.

Representatives from 11 countries' embassies in China, Fortune Global 500 companies, renowned business associations, financial institutions, and governmental leaders from Jiangsu province and Suzhou attended the conference.

During the event, Suzhou launched the Suzhou Global Investment Promotion Partner Program, recognizing the first batch of 20 "Global Investment Promotion Partners."

Notably, Suzhou has sealed 809 projects this year alone, with investments exceeding 580 billion yuan. Among these, 46 Fortune Global 500 companies have chosen Suzhou as their investment destination.
