Suzhou Global Investment Promotion Conference to open

On April 16, staff members at the Suzhou International Expo Center were busy preparing for a grand event.

Officials from the Suzhou Bureau of Commerce briefed the media on the preparations, stating that the inaugural Suzhou Global Investment Promotion Conference will be held from April 25 to 27 under the theme "Invest in Suzhou, Win the Future."

The conference will span three days, during which global delegates will explore Suzhou's industries and cultural highlights. They will also visit the Suzhou International Expo Center to view exhibitions showcasing Suzhou's modern industries and local craftsmanship.

The main agenda is scheduled for the afternoon of April 26 and will feature gatherings of Fortune Global 500 representatives, the signing of high-quality projects, and the participation of Suzhou's global investment partners.

The officials said that Suzhou will demonstrate its openness and innovation, leveraging its advantages as an open economy to showcase its image as a city with a superior innovation ecosystem, comprehensive industrial system, and top-notch business environment, aiming to attract global capital to choose Suzhou for investment.

To date, Suzhou has attracted over 18,000 foreign-funded enterprises, with cumulative actual foreign investment exceeding $160 billion. Among them, 175 multinational corporations from the Fortune Global 500 have invested in 486 projects in Suzhou.
