Deals for 36 projects with a total investment of 18.74 billion yuan ($2.6 billion) were signed in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province on March 16.

These projects cover fields including photovoltaic energy storage, new-generation information technology, new materials, high-end equipment, and modern services. They are expected to boost the industrial development of Tongzhou in the first quarter of 2024.

Included among the projects are production bases for high-end precise moulds and functional films for large aircraft aviation. Both are funded by Nalinv Nanotechnology Co Ltd, which invested in Tongzhou's Nantong National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone as early as 2017.

Nantong Nkoda polyurethane Technology Co Ltd, as the first investment of Nalinv in Nantong, has achieved rapid development since commencing operation in September 2019. Last year, the taxable turnover of the company exceeded 1 billion yuan.

"The two new projects in NHIZ are a testament of our confidence in the zone. They are expected to achieve an annual output of 1.5 billion yuan," said an investor from the company.

There are also three projects set to operate in Pinghu town, which is a key projects carrier in Tongzhou.

Zhang Zhongwei, Party secretary of the town, said that the increasing number of high-quality projects introduced to the town benefits the industrial transformation and boost the establishment of industrial clusters related to electronic components and intelligent equipment.
