In Perthshire, Scotland, a primary school is hosting a week-long Chinese cultural festival, and Pandey, a British expat who lives in Linzi, happened to be back in his hometown and was invited to participate in the event.

Pandey loves Chinese culture and has lived in the Linzi district of Zibo, East China's Shandong province, for many years.

The school where the festival is being held happens to be Pandey's alma mater, and he felt nostalgic visiting his old school. He helped students learn about Chinese characters and pinyin and delivered a lively lesson on the Chinese Spring Festival.

He shared his understanding and feelings about Chinese festivals with the children at the school, including various Spring Festival customs, such as setting off firecrackers, paying New Year's visits from door to door, and giving out red envelopes.

Pandey also gave a detailed introduction to Linzi, the small city where he has lived for many years. "The city where I live in China is called Linzi, Zibo, which, like Perthshire, is a city with a long history. Linzi was the capital of the ancient Qi State, the birthplace of Qi culture, and the birthplace of world football."

Pandey's explanation aroused great interest among the children at the school, and they are looking forward to visiting China in the future to experience the country's traditional culture.
