Additionally, the number of cross-border vehicles inspected during this period exceeded 2,700, representing a 3.1-fold increase year-on-year.
Major ports under the Guangzhou General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, including Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Pazhou Port, Nansha Port, and others, saw significant increases in passenger flow, with Baiyun airport experiencing a 720 percent increase in entry and exit personnel compared to last year.
The primary reason for entry and exit was tourism and family visits, with a notable increase in short-term travel to destinations such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Nearly 120,000 travelers visited these countries during the Spring Festival holiday, marking a 1,654 percent increase compared to the previous year.
In response to the surge in passenger flow during the Spring Festival period, the Guangzhou General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection implemented various measures to ensure smooth border crossings.
This included increasing police support, scientifically adjusting service organization, and closely collaborating with port joint inspection units to ensure safe and efficient port operations. Special care services were also provided for older people, those with mobility issues, and unaccompanied children, highlighting the humanistic care of Guangzhou's border inspection.
The efforts and achievements of the Guangzhou General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection not only ensured the smooth entry and exit of many travelers during the Spring Festival holiday but also demonstrated the efficiency and humanization of China's port management, providing a safe and convenient border crossing environment for travelers.
