Datong cooperates with Shanxi University

The Datong municipal government signed a cooperation agreement with Shanxi University on Feb 2. 

The two parties will focus on talent cultivation, technological development, and achievement transformation, aiming to deepen cooperation in areas such as coal power, cultural exploration, cave research, cultural tourism and health, biomedicine, rural vitalization, agricultural industries, ecological protection, and big data. 

The partnership is geared towards accelerating Datong's development into a key regional city and enhancing Shanxi University's competitiveness. 

Datong city and Shanxi University have a strong foundation of cooperation, having achieved fruitful results in practical collaborations across various fields including Yungang studies, historical archaeology, the health industry, and urban-rural governance. 

Datong Mayor Zhang Qiang expressed his hope that this partnership will serve as a catalyst for school-government cooperation. Datong will implement talent policies and various innovation incentives to provide strong support for Shanxi University's related initiatives.
