Bridgestone to build China Center of Excellence Project in WND

The signing ceremony for the Bridgestone China Center of Excellence Project took place in Wuxi New District, also known as Xinwu district, in Wuxi on Jan 24.

Bridgestone has stood as a leading force in the global tire manufacturing industry since 1931. Its new center in WND will launch financial shared services to integrate the company's financial management functions across its production facilities and sales network in China. The project is also expected to expand services into information technology and human resources management.

Wuxi has already become a strategic hub for Bridgestone, hosting a comprehensive system that includes production, research and development, and training facilities.

During his meeting with Agustin Pedroni, general manager of Bridgestone (China) Investment Co Ltd, Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of Xinwu, said since Bridgestone established its tire factory in WND in 2003, the two parties have maintained a close cooperation. Cui emphasized that WND is the most open national-level high-tech zone to foreign investment in Jiangsu province and expressed hopes that Bridgestone would introduce more new businesses into the district.

Pedroni said that WND has witnessed rapid development in recent years, creating an environment with superior industrial foundations, a strong research atmosphere, a complete innovation ecosystem, and a concentration of high-quality enterprises. The corporation holds great optimism for the development prospects of the district, he added.
