On Jan 27, at the Liangjiang New Area Entrepreneurs New Year's Celebration, Xu Hongqiu, deputy director of the administrative committee of Liangjiang New Area, announced the new area's industrial development opportunities.
Currently, Liangjiang New Area is focusing on the establishment of three leading industrial clusters, each worth 300 billion yuan ($41.79 billion). This includes intelligent connected and new energy vehicles, the new generation of electronic information manufacturing, and the new generation of internet and software information industries. Additionally, the area also plans on developing three pillar industrial clusters, each worth 50 billion yuan. These clusters encompass new energy and new energy storage, life and health, intelligent equipment, and intelligent manufacturing.
Moreover, the area is working on developing industrial clusters for new displays, semiconductors, satellite internet, artificial intelligence, AI and robotics, and cutting-edge new materials, in order to accelerate the construction of the "33511" modern industrial system.
Taking the intelligent connected and new energy vehicle industry as an example, the new area will promote its leading auto enterprises to become technology-oriented, service-oriented, and green enterprises.
Last year, the life and health industry in Liangjiang achieved new breakthroughs, with its output value reaching 10.4 billion yuan, showing a year-on-year increase of 24.7 percent.
In 2024, the new area plans to lead its resident enterprises towards digitization, intelligence, and low-carbon development.
