Hefei high-tech zone agreement set to boost AI technology

A signing ceremony was held on Dec 29 in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone – located in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province – that is expected to boost collaboration for establishing an artificial intelligence endoscopic imaging innovation center in the city.

Its primary focus will be clinical research and industrial cooperation in the field of AI endoscopic imaging. It will also promote joint innovation in high-end domestic endoscopic imaging equipment and establish a demonstration base for domestically produced medical devices.

By leveraging the AI technology being advanced by leading digestive endoscopy software products developer and maker Wuhan ENDOANGEL Co Ltd, the center will set out to conduct in-depth learning and analysis of endoscopic imaging. The company is based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone in Wuhan, capital of capital of Central China's Hubei province.

The center will utilize research from the Institute of Innovative Technology of Wuhan University, Hefei to advance AI technology in various medical fields. The institute is an innovation platform jointly established by the Hefei municipal government, the Hefei high-tech zone and Wuhan University.

The center will assist domestic high-end medical device companies to overcome technical challenges – improving product quality and enhancing the overall medical experience for patients.
