Live event in Guilin sparks increased demand for agricultural products

East Buy, a renowned Chinese e-commerce live-streaming sales team, held a live broadcast event called "East Buy Guangxi Journey" on Dec 30 and 31 in Guilin.

Dong Yuhui, one of the team's anchors and more than 10 other anchors showcased Guangxi's unique products against the backdrop of Guilin's beautiful landscapes, demonstrating the stunning natural scenery and cultural charm of Guangxi.

Anchor Yoyo said that Guilin not only offers a serene boat ride on the clear waters but also boasts vast skies and boundless oceans. Anchor Xiaoqi stated that walking in Guilin feels like being in a beautiful ink painting.

The event focused on showcasing Guangxi's unique features, including well-known Guangxi cuisine recognized by consumers nationwide, as well as exploring hidden local delicacies. The live broadcast featured a variety of delicacies, including Guilin rice noodles, Liuzhou snail noodles, Nanning old-friend rice noodles, and fruits such as pomelos, guavas, kumquats, oranges, and cherry tomatoes.

To meet shopping demands during the Spring Festival, East Buy selected a variety of meats and seafood from Guangxi, including Guangxi cured meat, sausages, dried pork, shrimp, and Lipu taro-braised pork, bringing the unique flavors of Guangxi to family gatherings for the Chinese Lunar New Year.

One hour after the start of the broadcast, the sales of Guangxi products on the East Buy platform exceeded 10 million yuan ($1.4 million). The peak number of simultaneous online viewers in the TikTok live room reached 230,000, ranking first on the TikTok e-commerce leaderboard.
