New Year festive atmosphere fills in Harbin

As the New Year approaches, the festive atmosphere in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, grows stronger.

Major supermarkets and markets in Harbin, such as the Manhadun Department Store, Toulong International Commodity City, and the Nanji Wholesale Market, have embraced the "New Year goods" sales model.

Items such as red lanterns, couplets, "福" (fortune) posters, artificial flowers, dried fruits, and candies are selling like hotcakes.

Inside Toulong International Commodity City, rows of festive red lanterns hang high in specialized shops, attracting crowds of citizens.

Salespersons in Toulong stated that there are currently over 30 types of lanterns in the store, with the majority incorporating dragon elements to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

Three-dimensional dragon-themed couplets and magnetic dragon-themed couplets are particularly popular right now, with hundreds sold each day.
