ACHA's establishment in Xi'an rated as top 10 intl archaeological news

China Media Group released the top 10 domestic and international archaeological news in 2023 on Dec 24.

Among them, establishing the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia (ACHA) was selected as the top 10 international archaeological news in 2023.

The General Assembly of the ACHA was held in Xi'an from April 24 to 26 this year, bringing together 150 representatives from 22 Asian countries and three international organizations.

At the assembly, the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia was formally established, the Asian Fund for Cultural Heritage Conservation was launched, the Collaborative Research Center for Archaeology of the Silk Roads was launched, and the Xi'an Declaration of the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia was released.

The assembly has achieved great results on how to inherit Asian civilizations better.

As one of the origins of the early Chinese civilization, Xi'an, the thousand-year-old ancient capital, is also a veritable treasure city.

In recent years, Xi'an's cultural relics and archaeological institutions have excavated and unearthed many ruins and cultural relics.

Xi'an's rich historical and cultural heritage is essential in strengthening cultural confidence, satisfying the people's yearning for a better life, and improving people's physical and mental health quality.
