Discovered in 2008 at the Huaguangjiao Reef in the Xisha Islands, this shipwreck dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) is now being preserved and restored at the Hainan Museum. Nearly ten thousand artifacts have been salvaged from it, with ceramics comprising the majority. The ceramics showcase various glaze colors and include a wide range of types.

The Huaguangjiao One shipwreck is the first ancient shipwreck discovered in deep-sea waters in China. As a significant archaeological find, it provides valuable insights into shipbuilding, navigation techniques and overseas trade during the Southern Song Dynasty.
