Ordos net-carbon industrial park makes green microgrid scenario list

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has published a notice of the typical application scenarios and cases for the 2023 National Industrial Green Microgrid.

The Net-Carbon Industrial Park in the Ordos Mengsu Economic Development Zone in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been included, making it the only industrial park in the region to be selected.

The industrial microgrid is an important approach to improve energy efficiency and meet the energy demand for industrial stable growth.

It is also a significant direction to cultivate new green growth drivers and forge new advantages in industrial competition, as well as to promote the high proportion use of renewable energy and implement the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality targets.

In recent years, the Net-Carbon Industrial Park has fully integrated new energy equipment manufacturing, core product application, and the construction and operation of integrated sources, grids, loads, and storage.

It has created typical application scenarios for industrial green microgrids, aiming to promote energy efficiency, low-carbonization, and greening in Ordos city, achieve peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality in the industrial sector, and establish an actionable, replicable, and scalable "Ordos practice" of green and low-carbon development.
