Harbin Taiping International Airport in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province recently announced that its annual passenger throughput for 2023 has surpassed 20 million, making it the first airport in Northeast China to achieve this milestone.

With the rapid post-pandemic recovery of the tourism, commerce and other industries in Heilongjiang this year, the aviation market continues to improve.

To meet the growing travel demand, Harbin airport has collaborated with various airlines to resume, increase, and enhance domestic and international flight routes.

It has optimized its domestic route network, with a focus on boosting flight capacity to major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Sanya, and Haikou.

Meanwhile, routes to Russian cities including Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, and Yakutsk, Japanese cities such as Osaka, South Korean cities like Jeju, and Vietnamese cities like Nha Trang have gradually resumed.

The airport has also increased the frequency of flights between Harbin and Seoul in South Korea and Tokyo in Japan.

It has also optimized service processes for four fast routes connecting Harbin with the Greater Bay Area, Beijing Daxing Airport, Hainan, and Qingdao, providing passengers with seamless and efficient services throughout their journey.

Some 43 airlines now operate at Harbin airport, offering 173 domestic and international routes.

These include 161 domestic passenger, nine international passenger, and three international cargo routes.
