According to a press conference held on Dec 15, since its opening, Guiyang International Land Port has facilitated the operation of over 280 freight trains, including the China-Europe (Central Asia) line, the Guizhou-Guangdong line, and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

These trains have transported over 16,000 containers with a total value exceeding 1.5 billion yuan ($211.07 million).

Guizhou province and Guiyang have jointly formulated policies supporting the port's development. These policies focus on facilitating train routes such as Guizhou-Guangdong and China-Laos, reducing transportation costs for businesses and enhancing the port's efficiency and effectiveness.

To drive the development of industries near the port, Guiyang has intensified efforts to introduce and nurture the grain processing, electronic information manufacturing, processing trade, and used car industries.

It aims to establish major grain import and used car export bases, fostering the growth and concentration of industries. The city-level used car export base was officially launched on Dec 1.

Seven coastal ports, including Guangzhou Port, Zhanjiang Port, Yantian Port, and Beibu Gulf Port, have designated dry ports within the Guiyang International Land Port.

Moving forward, Guiyang will connect the Guiyang International Land Port to national and international logistics corridors. It aims to serve the Belt and Road Initiative and the domestic and international dual circulation strategy and facilitate both inbound and outbound trade.
